Cut Edge Corrosion
We specialise in the application of various products to prevent cut edge corrosion.
Cut Edge Corrosion usually starts as delamination at the cut edges of a metal sheet. due to prolonged exposure to the elements.
It develops mainly at overlaps and gutter overhang and accelerates through water ingress held in the edge.
Edge corrosion will continue to deteriorate at an accelerated rate if untreated. This could occur in the costly renewal of sheets and or water penetrationinto the property.
Method:- Prior to the application of the system, the overlap is fully abraded and cleaned followed by the specified treatment to provide the relevant guarentee.

Fire Protection, application of intumescent materials.
Intumescent coatings provide an appearance similar to that of a paint finish and are applied usually by airless spray. At ambient temperatures, they remain stable. However, in a fire situation, the increase in temperature causes a chemical reaction.
The intumescent coating expands to many times its original thickness. This provides an insulating foam-like coating or "char" which protects the substrate.
Protecting steelwork,
The intumescent coating is designed to insulate the steel, and prevent the temperature of the steel from rising to a critical point at which structural failure becomes possible.
Protecting timber structures,
Timber structures are more susceptible to the surface spread of flame and heat propagation. Intumescents are designed to reduce heat propagation, and reduce the spread of flame.
Application is carried out to manufacturers specifications by trained operatives and a guarantee is given.
Preparation of surfaces with grit-blast, abrasive blast cleaning, mechanical and chemical methods.
